Asking the Tough Questions

This week, I’m going to post 3 days of very short, targeted challenges as we all evaluate our 2015 and plan toward 2016.

Here’s the first one that I’ve asked several men this year as they were evaluating their future against God’s calling on their life. I have certainly been answering this question for the past 5 years myself.

If someone put money in your account every month to pay your bills, what would you feel freed up to do with your life? What would you feel called to do at that point, with money out of the way?

Here’s the kicker: Whatever your answer is likely what you need to do, sooner than later

Why?

Because if all that’s standing in your way is money, I bet your God can figure out how to take care of that.

Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:33 are still true …

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (ESV)

But more than anything else, put God’s work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well. (CEV)

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (NLT)

In 2016, what do you need to “seek” that you never have before?

In 2016, how can you place “God’s Kingdom above all else”?

In 2016, can you hand over “all these things” to Him?
