Interaction vs Isolation

As a Christian, do you believe we have a responsibility to be an influence for Christ to those we come into contact with?

In the past 5 years, would you say your human interaction has decreased, increased, or stayed the same?

With the culture going ever faster, isolation increasing, and reliance is placed on social media for all engagement, most people’s influence on actual humans is shrinking.

Most people have 4 to 5 times the number of Facebook friends than they have actual friends and the gap is only growing wider.

In a given week of yours, how much eye to eye, heart to heart ministry for Christ is occurring?

So, what’s the response?

Intentional engagement and interaction. Paying attention. Stopping to listen. Asking questions to express care. In the presence of an actual person, put down the phone.

If we are going to actually impact the world for the cause of Christ, it will be through God’s original plan—His followers loving their neighbors, meaning all those they encounter.

Decide today you will look for moments to genuinely interact in an unhurried and intentional manner. And just see what God might do.
