Do You Believe?

Back in October, I received a call about writing a devotional book for the film Do You Believe? The movie is the follow-up (not sequel) to the amazingly popular God’s Not Dead from Pure Flix. After hearing the vision from the filmmakers and the publisher—Broadstreet—about their desire to take audiences into the reality of the cross, the Gospel, I was all in.

Essentially, the first movie offered the opportunity to see there is a God Who loves and cares for us, but then Do You Believe? brings the eternal question to the forefront: what do you do with Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross? Does this make a difference in your life?

Do You Believe? introduces us to a variety of every-day people, from a seasoned pastor to a street preacher, from a desperate gang member to an affluent doctor, a hurting and homeless mom to a struggling army veteran; real-life situations, as diverse as our culture today. And also parallel to real life—some accept and some reject. But the one common denominator in each story is their lives intersecting, in some cases colliding, with the cross of Christ.

I want to humbly invite you to check out more about the devotional here. Order from Amazon here or Christianbook here. And also go see the movie opening on March 20. Consider taking someone who needs to hear the Gospel through this unique venue. The film is uncompromising and unapologetic in offering the Gospel as the Solution for a hurting and confused culture.

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes … —Romans 1:16 NLT

Thanks gentlemen! Its an honor and a privilege to be able to be involved in reaching people through the arts...even if the "critics" don't like our faith. -Robert
