Graduation Gift—for You

Some of our close friends’ son graduated from high school last week. After I wrote a message to him in his card, I read it and thought to myself, “It’s great to issue these inspirations and challenges to an 18-year-old, but why don’t we ever say this to a 26 year-old, a 44 year-old, a 52 year-old, or even a 68 year-old?” Why wouldn’t I say this to any of my friends?

So, here you go …

“We have enough men who just want status quo and to get by, so go do something amazing and extraordinary and special with your life. Do something other men don’t, won’t, and can’t do. Do what only you were made to do and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t or you shouldn’t, because you can and you should. Here’s to watching an extraordinary life be lived.”

May he remember your gifts and be pleased with what you bring. May God do what you want most and let all go well for you. Then you will win victories, and we will celebrate, while raising our banner in the name of our God. May the Lord answer all of your prayers! —Psalm 20:3-5 CEV
